Cricut Thanksgiving Titles

The candles are blown out, the jackolanterns are in the trash, the remaining candy is squirreled away in the cupboard, and two fairy princesses, a dinosaur and a knight are napping/coming down from a sugar high. So it must be time to think about Thanksgiving! In searching for Thanksgiving Cricut projects, I came across these Cricut Thanksgiving titles and these Thanksgiving Cricut Cards. They are not finished Cricut projects but they are cut files. I think you have to have SCAL or Design Studio to use them? It may be time for me to take the plunge and buy one of these programs to use with my Cricut Expression!!

Cricut 50 States Cartridge Project

Just came across this amazing wall mural of the US Map, created using the Cricut 50 States Cartridge! What a great idea and so much more personal than buying a pre-printed map, plus you get to choose the colors so it can match the room’s decor. It would also be super cute in a classroom or daycare center. LOVE IT!!

Dreams Card

Today’s featured project is from Shelly at Popsicle Toes Card Creations. Her elegant card was made with the Cricut Storybook Cartridge (tree branch, bird, corner swirl and label), Paper Trey stamp, ink, glitter pen, rhinestone (for the bird’s eye, isn’t that cool?), Basic Grey Figgy Pudding and Stampin’ Up papers. I just love the sentiment she chose for this card: “Dreams Are Wishes Your Heart Makes”. So pretty!

Cricut Edition of Will It Blend?

When I first came across this video I was horrified? They wouldn’t dare blend (“blend” = destroy to these people!!) my beloved Cricut Expression would they?

Phew, that was a relief. I DO like the idea of getting rid of all those old punches, decorative scissors, etc., but I’ll probably donate them or sell them on eBay — something a little less dramatic than blending them!

Buying Cricut Cartridges

Just a quick reminder for my fellow Cricut addicts… when you are shopping for Cricut Cartridges, be sure to check on eBay. You can really get some great deals there, even pre-orders for the new releases like the new Sesame Street cartridges! I am just mentioning this because it drives me crazy to hear people complaining about the crappy selection and total lack of customer service at Michael’s and JoAnns. Wake up people, you have a choice! I love getting a great deal and being able to shop from home without dragging the kids out to the store. And the happy mail days!! The kids have started doing a happy mail dance and enjoying it just as much as me because we’re always receiving something fun — books, toys or clothes for them or scrapbook supplies for me… so much happiness inside little packages.

So anyway, because I know people don’t often think about checking ebay, and sometimes it’s a hassle to dig through the many many listings there, I’ve got a handy dandy widget on this blog to make it more convenient to shop for Cricut stuff. Just check out the links below on the right side.

How incredibly cute are these flowers made with the Cricut George cartridge? So pretty and springy! Salinad posted them on twopeas and I can’t wait to make my own as Easter centerpieces next year.
